Share of journal articles indexed in Web of Science or Scopus

The Division of Scientific Activity Monitoring studied the share of papers in journals indexed in the Web of Science or Scopus (excluding dedublication) for 15 institutions (4 research institutes and 11 scientific and practical centers) for a five-year period (2017–2021). The results showed that it amounted to 32.1% for all institutions, 33.4% for 11 scientific and practical centers, and 30.5% for 4 research institutes. At the same time, this indicator increased for all 15 organizations by 8.0 percentage points from 28.8% in 2017 to 36.8% in 2021, by 12.6 percentage points (from 27.7% in 2017 to 40.3% in 2021) for 11 scientific and practical centers, and by 2.9 percentage points (from 30.3 % in 2017 up to 33.2% in 2021) for 4 research institutes (fig.).

Between 2017 and 2021, the L.I. Sverzhevsky Clinical Research Institute of Otorhinolaryngology published the most articles in journals (49.7%) indexed in the Web of Science or Scopus. It was the clear leader among all 15 institutions and research institutes in particular, while the smallest share of articles (3.7%) was published by Moscow Territorial Scientific and Practical Center for Disaster Medicine of Moscow Healthcare Department. Among scientific and practical centers, the leader was the Scientific and Practical Psychoneurological Center named after Z.P. Solovyov (47.4%).
